World ITC is a group of instrumental trans-communication researchers who attempt to communicate with those on the other side through a variety of instruments. Tips for Listening to EVP Recordings
When listening to EVP, you can enhance your experience by doing the following.
- Minimize noise around you. Go someplace quiet where you won't be disturbed.
- Wear headphones. Some EVP is so soft you need headphones to hear time.
- Focus on your sense of hearing. Close your eyes as you listen so you're only focused on sound.
- If you're listening to EVP on video, don't watch the video, just listen.
- Take frequent breaks so your ears don't get fatigued. Opt for breaks every 15 minutes or so, and don't listen for much longer than an hour total in a session.
- The easiest thing to hear in EVPs are consonants and syllables. So if you're having trouble hearing what's there, listen for consonants and the rhythm of the sounds, which can indicate syllables.
- Listen several times before you determine what you think it is saying.
- Don't read what other people think the EVP is saying before you listen, as this can influence what you hear.
- Listen with a healthy dose of skepticism. Many ambient sounds can be mistaken for ghost voices. For example, shuffling a foot can sould like a whisper. If you can't make out what it is saying clearly, particularly if it's whispered, there's a good chance it's ambient noise.
Voices From Beyond the Grave
The best way to be able to hear EVP is to practice listening to them. Choose samples from various sources. You'll learn what to listen for. And while some will be incredibly clear, others will take a keen ear to hear. But when you do hear them, you just may be listening to voices from beyond the grave.
