Is There Proof Aliens Built the Pyramids? Examining the Theories

Did aliens build the Great Pyramids of Giza and other similar structures around the world? Ancient alien theorists believe they did. Many point to the existence of such ancient formations as proof that aliens exist. Delve into ancient alien theories about the pyramids around the world and decide what you believe.

Theory of Alien Pyramid Builders

The biggest argument given by ancient alien theorists is that ancient humans simply weren't advanced enough to create such magnificent wonders as the Giza pyramids. They find it incomprehensible that ancient people understood mathematics and astronomy well enough to build them. Their only conclusion is that without advanced mathematical abilities, the ancient Egyptians couldn't have built these mathematically precise structures.

They claim proof in the oldest written record of mathematical knowledge found in the Sumerian culture (1822-1784 BC), and this text demonstrates the ancients didn't have the complex mathematical knowledge required to build the pyramids. Even the Babylonian tablets (2000 BC) reveal the limits of ancient math since the tablets contain the ancients' unsuccessful attempts to resolve complex mathematical problems like cubic equations.

Pyramid Mathematical Alignments

One of the examples given in the ancient aliens argument is the three structures' alignment to true north, since Egyptians didn't have compasses. This must point to ancient aliens with advanced knowledge and technology. There have been many books and papers written about this alignment.

One excellent example of the math and constellation behind the pyramids is presented by RG "Robert" Bauval, who put forth the Orion Correlation Theory. According to the theory, the alignment of the three pyramids of Giza match constellations. Bauval hypothesized that the ancient Egyptians planned the three pyramids to match the Belt of Orion configuration of three stars, Zeta, Epsilon, and Delta Orionis, within the Orion constellation.

Bauval refers to Pyramid Texts, which describe how the ancient Egyptian god Osiris (god of life, fertility, afterlife, dead, and resurrection) was the counterpart of the Orion constellation, which was the symbol of rebirth and the afterlife.

He calculated where these three stars were located during the Pyramid age and then inverted the map of the three pyramids, showing how they matched the positioning of these three stars. His calculations provide more data and information about the Great Pyramid shafts and their cosmic alignments.

Pyramids Found Around the World

The Egyptian pyramids aren't the only ones in the world. The Mayans built flat-topped pyramids, and there are many pyramids in South America, China, and other regions of the world. To ancient alien theorists, these world cultures didn't have contact with each other, much less the ability to exchange secret knowledge on how to build pyramids. It's highly improbable that these civilizations spontaneously developed and built similar pyramids. The only logical conclusion for ancient alien theorists is that aliens built the world's pyramids.

Pharaohs Were Aliens or Hybrids Theory

Ancient alien theorists claim that the elongated skull of the Pharaoh Akhenaten, King Tut's father, is an oddity. However, they point out that his malformed head is similar to descriptions of the Greys, a group of aliens described in human abduction reports.

Ancient Egypt background

The theorists discount other possible explanations for the elongated skull, such as a natural mutation or intentional cranial deformation. The former could be the results of chronic hydrocephalus. With the latter explanation, theorists speculate the manipulation of the forming skull was undertaken in an effort to make themselves look more like their extraterrestrial gods.

One such god was supposedly the Pharaoh Akhenaten. Ancient Egyptian texts claim he is the "living embodiment" of the sun god Ra. A recovered stone panel depicts Ra underneath the sun with beams of light showering him. This is known as a scene of the Adoration of Aten (giver of all life). However, theorists speculate the disc is a UFO and the sunbeams are laser beams.

Ancient Hieroglyphics of UFOs, Helicopters, and Planes Theory

There are other depictions of advanced technology in the hieroglyphics, according to theorists. For example, the Temple of Seti I at Abydos reveals a highly publicized series of hieroglyphs believed to be three flying machines. These look like modern technological aircraft. There is a helicopter, a plane with a cockpit, and a flying saucer. Another image is often said to be either a submarine or an airspeeder like the one depicted in the movie saga Star Wars.

However, these aren't commonly seen in hieroglyphs. There is only one lintel block with these supposed flying machine glyphs. Archeologists explain that Ramses II took over his father's monument and as a matter of economics, he ordered his scribes to carve over some of the existing texts as a way to update them.

This practice is known as Palimpsest. Archeologists state that these hieroglyphic anomalies are nothing more than altered glyphs that accidentally resemble modern aircraft. Ancient alien theorists find this explanation possible if there were just one or two images, but not an entire series.

Ancient Building Manual Proves Egyptians Built Pyramids

One piece of evidence that proves ancient Egyptians built the pyramids is left out of the argument for alien intervention. The Old Kingdom pyramid walls contain a how-to manual known as Pyramid Texts. This is a building manual on how to construct pyramids. Each of the three texts document the actual building of that pyramid. This includes names of who worked on the pyramids as well as the archeological discovery of the remnants of the workers' camps.

Evidence of Ramps and Moving Gigantic Stones

The other evidence that ancient Egyptians were indeed the architects of the pyramids is the archeological evidence of ramps. The ancient Egyptians used enormous ramps made of earth to continue building the height of the pyramids. These ramps wrapped around the pyramids like a circling roadway. In fact, remnants of these ramps of limestone, clay, and gypsum have been excavated. Even with this evidence, the most common argument for ancient alien architects is the inability to move gigantic slabs of heavy stones.

The history of Herodotus

However, that argument was destroyed in 2014, when a tomb panel depicting the actual building of the pyramids was discovered. Researchers re-examined the painted panel inside the tomb of Djehutihotep (an Egyptian governor around 1900 BC). They were surprised to discover something archeologists had overlooked. This panel painting clearly shows how workers moved enormous stones on wooden sleds.

The painting reveals a worker pouring some kind of liquid from an urn in front of the sled. Researchers believe the liquid was most likely water. They knew the dry sand would be impossible to pull a sled through since it would berm and create mounds in front of the sled. However, if water was poured onto the sand in front of the sled, the water would bind the sand particles together. This technique allowed the sled to be pulled through the sand. The painting also shows water bearers marching beside the sled ready to refill the water when needed.

Evidence of Failed Attempt to Build a Pyramid

Another archeological find is what is called the Bent Pyramid. Built by Pharaoh Seneferu, this was one of the first attempts by the Egyptians to build a pyramid. However, their miscalculations made it go wrong. The Bent Pyramid is located in Dahshur. It has two angles with one at 54° and the other was 43°. The disproportionate angles give the pyramid a bent, odd look, hence the name. This malformed pyramid is a clear indicator of trial and error in the pyramid building process.

Theories That Ancient Aliens Built the Pyramids

There are many theories about how ancient aliens built the pyramids. However, there are many authentic artifacts that point to the ancient Egyptians as the builders of the pyramids by using various ingenious methods and complex mathematical formulas.
